The first mercenary, the exiled, the unruly Cid Campeador passed through places steeped in legend and history. With the help of the 3D scanner, we travel through emblematic places of his life following the route indicated in the Cantar del Mio Cid, where the life and deeds of Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar are narrated. We start at the National Library in Madrid, where this treasure of literature is kept in the vault under maximum security. Our presenters Leonor Martín and Lidia San José hold in their hands an exact facsimile of the original. We travel to Burgos to visit the Cathedral where part of the remains of the Cid and his wife Jimena rest. It is said that the first place they were transferred to is the Monastery of San Pedro de Cardeña, where we know the legend of the coming and going of the remains of the Cid. In the Castle of Cullera, we learn about his battles against the Muslims. And we arrive in Valencia to visit its Cathedral, where the first burial of the Cid took place.
