The call for applications for grants to finance projects to accelerate cultural and creative enterprises and to finance projects to expand and diversify the cultural offer in non-urban areas of Castilla y León thanks to the Plan for Recovery, Transformation and Resilience funded by the European Union – Next Generation EU (PRTR-NG) is open for applications from 23 January to 6 February 2023.
The grant for cultural and creative business acceleration projects may be applied for by private companies, both individuals and legal entities, and may be micro-enterprises or SMEs, and may also be applied for by individuals with the commitment to set up as a company or self-employed person.
On the other hand, subsidies for projects to expand and diversify the cultural offer can be applied for by local entities, foundations, associations, private non-profit organisations and also companies, freelancers or other profit-making entities, as long as they are related to the cultural field.
The following projects are eligible for funding:
(a) Artistic or cultural events or shows, festivals, exhibitions and other similar cultural activities within the following fields: visual arts, cinema and audiovisual arts, theatre, dance, circus and music, magic, literature, photography, architecture, design and crafts, including multidisciplinary artistic activities and those linking culture and the arts with science and/or traditional knowledge.
b) Projects which, through multi-agent participation – idea laboratories, project prototyping, transdisciplinary initiatives or trans-sectoral alliances – encourage experimentation, research and cultural innovation and have a practical application in the territory.
c) Projects related to intangible cultural heritage, in connection with contemporary culture and practices.
d) Activities of education, transfer and artistic and cultural mediation, including the use of new technologies.
